Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
I am but I don't think its to high, shifts at around 1800rpm. The trans shop did some mods to the shift kit so it winds a little higher than that depending where my foot is in the pedal.

Yeah, I forgot about stall converter when telling Rick lumpy, I'll have to look and see how much lump we can get him without alot of cash.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
its 86.6 miles away at approx. 1 hr and 35 min away the farthest ive taken the 67 is 25 miles there and 25 miles back.
if i do take the trip in the 67 im going to need 2 full tanks and im gonna need to get my leaky valve stem fixed on my flat tire so i can take my spare off and put it back in the bed... and i think ill need some extra quarts of oil. and after that ill check levels and everything should be good to go! |

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"
Ok so yesterday I called the guy with his 327 and the old fart sold it on me! I couldn't believe it! Sooo I went back on Craigslist and started my search again.... Found a 327 a little closer to me and it had a transmission on it and was pretty much complete so I asked if he would seep rate the tranny from te engine and sell me just the engine after a little talking he agreed and said he wanted 300 for the engine lol so as fate would have it I bought the engine today and drove down in the 67 to get it the 67 did surprisingly REALLY WELL so I have much more confidence in it now
