Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

This is my '84 K5 Silverado, I'm second owner, had it now 28 years. It's down now with a transmission leak I haven't sorted out yet.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

I picked this one up back in November after I sold my 99. This one was a craigslist find. I am a sucker for these things when theyre all original & un-molested. The cool thing about this one is its 100% original other than the 33's I put on it. I got all of the paperwork from the dealership when it was ordered & receipts for everything done since it was new in 87. It still has push button radio & the owner gave me the full set of gm floor mats too.
Its loaded up pretty good pw,pl, tilt, cruise & ac everything works, even back window. Motor & Trans are solid it had 101k on it when I bought it. It was ordered with a tbi 350/700r4 and 3:73's. The original invoice for this was close to $22k
Previous two owners were family to original owners. So im the first owner outside of the family

Ya, it was for sale forever and the guy would barely budge on the price too. Super nice honest guy though. Other than a little maintenace this thing has been awesome. Plus, it gets like 35mpg. What else could a guy ask for...

My "new" 87 Burb with Choo Choo Customs roof and basic interior conversion. Has a TBI 350, and has the prerequisite 2HI, 4LO, 4HI shifter in the floor...

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Here is a picture of my recent purchase. A 1988 V10, 5.7, TH700R4, 4x4 with 150K on it. I am new to the site but have had a 1986 M1009 for about 16 years now so I almost know the Suburban other then the 5.7 gasser with TBI. I will have lots of questions on the Suburban in the future. I did have to rebuild the rear brakes and am waiting on speedo parts at present.

Re: How about some pics of "4x4" Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?

Not too many at this time. It needs tires so I plan on 33x10.50-15. I need the space for kids and friends and the M1009 I am running now is too noisy and small. I need to fix a few things on the Suburban...slow windows, all door locks not working, and dash replacement...then maybe rear speakers. In the end I plan on swapping out the 5.7 for a diesel but it will be awhile....if it happens???. Since the speedo is out on it I have some issues with the VSS....(i.e engine), the converter lockup and the cruise....all of which I hope will be corrected with the new speedo gears. Time will tell.
