From the church bulletin.

Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It's a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

one of the baby doves fell or was pushed out of the nest in the gutter above the back garage door last week

but the other baby is close to ready to fly away

he got spooked when I checked on him this morning and flew into the wall

so I picked him up with leather gloves and put him back up there to try again another day..

momma is watching from the neighbors roof so hopefully still gets fed until he flies..

my neighbor has raised dove, quail, and now pheasant so he's going to check on him later today..

he'll hand feed him if needed until he's ready to fly on his own

and this little guy has lived in those old snap ring wheels off the 65 since he was a baby last year..

moved the wheels against the wall from the back of the trailer a couple of weeks ago and he's back

from October

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Any of you guys that do house rehabs recycle the copper wire from the house? If so, what method do you use to remove the insulation from it? I am talking mainly the older covered wires from the late 40's to early 50's. Before romex became the standard.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

We haven't found an efficient way.

We just segregate it from the clean copper and take out beating.

Here clean copper is going for $2.30 and .70 for the other. I have about 500#'s of insulated wire. Was thinking of buying some sort of "stripper" (No Tim, not the one your thinking of). Was hoping someone has used one to give me direction of buying...

I haven't checked, but I think it is on my diet! I know I can have a couple pieces of bacon fried, so I can probably have the whole bag of jerky!

From the church bulletin.

The ladies of the Church have cast off clothing of every kind. They may be seen in the basement on Friday afternoon.

Is this a thing I would want to see or should I consider this fair warning?

Careful. You might just see SNL’s old church lady charactor. I think that was Dana Carvey.
I can hear him/her sayin “well isn’t that special”!

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I've been to Black's Beach north of San Diego before

It wasn't like there were beautiful women everywhere you looked. More like none and look down for sea shells

I started to bring up those beaches. I went to one once and I was in aw..... as in awful.

Some people don't need to cast off their clothes.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

It's official now! February is THE wettest February in Arkansas since they've been keeping record.
I know here we've had well over 10" in the lasts two weeks alone.
That old Johnny Cash song comes to mind, "how high's the water mama?"

We can tell you how deep the mud is. We had dirt turned upside down all over the place and it turned into mud.
