Re: Project '86
I know i am going to get bashed for asking this because the hood mod is really awesome<><, but here I go. Can you share a little more about the inner cab covers you made. I like them. (there is a suprise what is it I dont like about your truck) Did you cut the factory fenders and bolt them back in? Did you work you mad skills and make one offs? I have just started this on mine and the out come does not look the same. I think it is because I have modified the facory inner fenders at the cab. I have the trailer fenders cut for the top. How ever I was wondering does your inner fender mod go all the way to the trailer fenders? Thanks... tee:

Re: Project '86
That piece you see in the photo just goes up far enough that you can't see the top of it. I think it was about 15" long. There is nothing fancy to that piece at all. I cut a 15x6" rectangle out of some 22ga. Then held it against the fender well and marked the curve of the fender on it. Trimmed it along that line and that is it.

Re: Project '86
Well it looks great, it really cleans up the look of the wheel well. The hood looks great too, I like the fact that I havent ever seen this done on the square bodies. Awesome work, keep it up!

I don't have a specific dash picked out but I will likely get somethign old and cut it up to fit. Going to just scower some of the local yards and see what catches my eye when the time comes.
