Does the heat wrap on the intake serve a purpose? Never seen that done before except on turbo cars.

Well actually...it covers up the hole in the tube where I cut the tube for the pvc thingy off and patched it. And also it's gotta keep some of the heat from the fans and rad blowing on it only inches away...?

Re: Owen's C10

congrats on getting to drive and enjoy it. Quick question, what backspacing are you running on your front mobsteel wheels? I think I remember them being 20x9 but couldn't remember what backspacing you were running.

nothing new yet... just waiting for the "truck fund" to replenish itself, I have a few things planned like side windows, interior, heat/ac, and finish the bed.

actually I was waiting on a f-body reservoir, which has a top filler, in hindsight I should've bought a new pump and went with a remote reservoir...

Re: Owen's C10

I may have missed it, can you give me some info on your alternator and P/S mounting to the motor? Just using a fixed adjustment, not tensioner? Who built or what brand is your engine wiring harness?

Thanks, Wade

The alt/power steering mounts are from ICT Billet, got them from Summit. it has a turnbuckle for adjustment. the harness is from PSI that I reworked quite a bit to go where I wanted it to..

Re: Owen's C10

And you switched to 98-02 LS-1 power steeering pump? The intake came from summit as well? How do you like the intake? Does it use the truck injectors? Thanks for all the info.
