quick little vid on the gauges at night. My speedo is 10mph off, I need to recalibrate it, but happy its working. Love having the trip meter so I can see how many miles I log. Put 50 miles on it the past couple days. Took a friend for a ride and hit about 7k and it just kept pulling, very happy with the performance. though, I developed a squeeling noise, I think its my PWS belt, so I hope. I'll try and post a how to on the gauge at some point, haven't gotten anyone inquiring about it, so maybe the interest isn't there. but for me, this is something I'v wanted to have ever since I built my 51'. So I'll be doing the conversion for that truck and hopefully a whole new interior bf winter. Found out my pressure switch has been sticking, so I'm going to order a sealed viar switch. got my heater/ac evap coming. This thing is almost all done. Going to post some more vids soon. Hard to film and drive a stick! P.S I know the speedo needs centered more and the tach isn't as bright. I'm pretty sure its a ground on the tach.

Re: 49' Patina bagged in PA
thanks guys, yeah I'll either make a downloadable PDF or maybe even a video with pictures, much easier to understand it by video. I'll be doing the conversion for my 51' too, so maybe I'll film the process. Truck has been driving great, almost 100 percent sure my noise was coming from pws belt. I'll post some more vids on the driving.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKa0...ature=youtu.be Here is a little quick video. My battery was almost dead, so I didn't film much. also the one road is really sketchy so going fast on it is a crap shoot. But you can still see some 5k action. The second clip is just climbing a long hill in 4th gear. Really wasn't getting on it at all cause I had the camera in my hand. I'll post some more vids. Taking it up to erie again saturday, so I'll log another 100 miles.

Re: 49' Patina bagged in PA
8-31 thanks guys. I logged about 150 miles this weekend on it. I reworked my wiper bracket, still needs some adjusting, but I got it all wired up to a 2 speed switch and it parks the motor even though its a one speed motor. I got 30 into the motor and some time. had my friend shannon make me up an adapter for the arms and also needed some bushings made. So with this being a trial version, its a success but still needs proven. the alternative would be a 250 newport kit, which I have bought in past.
onto the heater/ac. Im personally not a huge AC fan in a hotrod, but... I aim to sell this truck so I figure I'd atleast install a unit and if they want to add AC down the road, they can. This guy fits like a glove and is pretty hidden for its size. got it of ebay, so we'll see how she works. came with two switches so that should be challenging finding a place to mount them, where you can't see them, cause I don't like how they look. If it was just one switch I could mount it under dash pretty easy, but with two room is tight and knowing which switch does what would get confusing if you can't see it.

Re: 49' Patina bagged in PA
9-10 Still logging miles on the truck. Have had over 100 miles every weekend on it so far. So I think I'm at almost 400 miles. Should have some more on it this weekend and I think I'm taking it to pittsburgh tuesday so that will be a nice 200 plus mile trip.
Got A/Fuel ratio gauge hooked up. Just put it under dash outta site for now. I like the gauge, obviously I'm not running at 19. Infact on idle its pretty dead on at 14.5 ish. checked plugs and they look good too. So not sure if I'll play with the timing much more or not. Got heater/AC rigged up somewhat. This has been a nightmare trying to rig up a brace to hold it. Then I'll have to mount two switches somehow, not looking forward to that. Will be nice to finalize it. I have to drill out two holes in the inner cowl to route the hoses out of, kinda not looking forward to that either. have to finish headliner, shifter and carpet and its almost 100 percent done. Got a pic with the 51' before the leaves all fall off.

Re: 49' Patina bagged in PA
9-12 well feels like late fall today. not driving truck in rain.
Got headliner in, well..... almost in. frigging nightmare headliners are. cut shifter down, put a new knob on it. gotta get shaft painted also finally got my poly bushings for my swaybar, got it installed but haven't driven yet. I know some guys run them some don't. My truck isn't bad without it, but cornering you can see the bag pressure rise about 20-30 psi, so maybe the swaybar will help.

Re: 49' Patina bagged in PA
9-16 Drove 49hardtimes to pittsburgh 100 mile trip. Heading back up north with it tomorrow. seemed to have gotten 20mpg on the whole ride down, only about half of which was actual interstate. have around 500 miles on it now.
shot a few flicks, getting more tomorrow before I head out.
