Re: 198Plus build

Truck looks good, check out my doors in my thread I picked up for 200 dollars for the set. A Im still learning the body work as I do this on the side as a hobby. My uncle works in the bodyshop business and I have watched him over the years. He told me you should always strip the panel your working on to bare metal and then prime it with a etching primer sealer. Then you can do all your mud work on top of the primer. He was told at a bodyshop school he attended that mud on top of bare metal can create moisture under the mud because the mud is so hard and the metal will sweat and create rust. I see guys building high end cars on tv and on the internet and in magizines put the mud right on top of bare metal. whats everyones thoughts on this??? Also I use dynalight brand filler from carquest. What type filler are yall guys using?

Re: 198Plus build

Not much happening on my truck.........But got another ride.

I have always liked these cars, so now I have one....72 Monte Carlo 350,
700R trans, 12 Bolt........If I keep it plans are a little taller tire, Black walls, and set the car up just a little.

Nice Monte

I also like the first gen Monte Carlo's.

Myself, I like how this one sits as is.

Talk about a 'Perfect Bottom'.... That is the best looking bottom I've seen since my last trip to Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

Nice work...!

Re: 198Plus build

what kind of paint did u use? POR-15, DP-90? does it not hurt the back of the cab to sit it up on its back like that? I need to do that to finish the cab support braces.
