Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
Maybe I need to go to the swap meet some time; I would like to try some bigger wheels on my crew, but not looking to lay out that much coin on something I only "kind of" want to do?

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
AHAH! It worked! This is my project. Didn't think there was another one out there but, as usual, it's been done before. 87 3/4ton/TBI454/TH400/208. It started life as a Border Patrol truck (4x4/3/4 ton/TBI350/400/208. I Started with the 4" lift, then dually adapters and 285's. Bought a doner 83 dually for the fenders which had to be sectioned 2" to center them up on the tures. The dually also donated dual exhaust, front seat, perfect dash, and tilt column. Next addition was the TBI 454 from a 92 Winnebago which a storm had blown the roof off of. Sucker only had 16,700 miles! Last year I bought the back half of a wrecked 90' Blazer with the hopes of making it a one of a kind Dually Sublazer (Blazurban??) and now that I get to cuttin', I find it's been done..... LOL Good times! Maybe I should get out more.

Caddy lights look like boo-boo. Such a dated mod.
Of course, that's just my opinion. |

I keep forgetting how times/fads change!lol.....I remember that being a BIG thing in the early 90's and really liked it then! I've just never seen it done a 'burb.

Wanted to see what it would look like in blue. So I painted it before the show this weekend.. Think I might go with it in this color..

It's good to finally see some color on that Blazer. I used to drive past that truck every day for years, when it was out here in sfv. At one point I was going to buy it when he had it for sale at Pomona Swar Meet. Nice Truck.

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
It's just a rattle can job for now.. Trying to figure out what color I want to go with. It's either the factory yellow or a blue like this. Kind of trying to fight painting it blue since everything else that I own is a shade of blue.. lol.. However I think I like it like this.
The reason for the rattle can is pretty much every body panel has to be replaced anyways might as well decide on a color before I spray it. The passenger side panels are REALLY bad. Drivers not as bad but going to replace them all anyways. The plus side is that the frame and the tub itself are in good shape so that is a bonus there. |

Re: How about some pics of 2wd Blazers, Jimmy's & Burbs?
Bought my Burb in February, after the 3rd time getting rearended in my husband's PT Cruiser
She's in great shape, with little rust. Right now, I need a new motor on the driver's side window (sometimes won't go down and if it goes down,it doesn't always go back up!) And I'd like to put in a cassette am/fm stock radio so I can play my cd's the old fashioned way lol I'd like to keep it stock and not do any mods, other then what it needs.
