Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
well got a lil bit done today.. the first few pics are some things i scored a couple weeks ago at an old salvage yard around here. some cool old tags, a wall mount fan that im gonna mount in my shop.. been sitting outside for who knows how long but it still works. also got an old pipe vise and stand (not pictured) my favorite score of the day was an old Unity spotlight.. still not sure if im gonna use it on my truck or not but i had to get it for 35 bucks!!!!
today i made a plate to cover up my shifter hole, adjusted my switch on my shifter for the reverse lights and hooked it up. also ran the rest of the wires under the carpet for the tail lights and fuel gauge and such got my seat installed today to.. not real happy with the wrinkles around the armrest area but there isnt anything good to attach the material to when you get a good stretch do to the hole being there. other than that i really like it lokar shift boot also i finished and installed my exhaust a few weeks ago but never took any pics. still gotta move the air line so it dont get too hot here is where the exhaust dumps in front of the rear tires

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Really loving the build. I've been watching it since you started; may have to find some time to stop by next time I'm in Muskogee. My best friend lives out there so every so often I head that way.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
my truck isnt gonna lay frame.. i didnt pancake the front crossmember so the front wont go low enough so im gonna put some bump stops on the rear so it will sit level.. it will be about an 1 1/2 off the ground. thanx for the comment though

Man this build thread is ridiculous. I am getting really inspired. One day I will take mine down for a frame off. Keep up the good work man. That is one hell of a truck you are building.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
thanx man
after getting the lawn mowed i was pretty lazy but i did manage to get the driveshaft put in. hopefully i will have a lil more time next weekend to get some stuff done i ended up not being able to use that billet cpp carrier bearing i bought cause they no longer make a midship shaft that will fit that bearing and a 3" tube. so i ended up going with a bigger carrier bearing.. later on i will prolly upgrade the rear section to a bigger tube to match the front but this will get me going for now. luckly i made my trailing arms 1 inch longer a while back or it would have been a big pain to use the style carrier. anyway here are some pics of the driveshaft and the carrier bearing mount i made.

Re: intro + 66 black bagged long fleet
Thanx guys. The rear section i got from classic performance products. The front section was a universal drive shaft kit from summit racing. But i had to order a midship shaf, yoke and bigger carrier bearing. I had inland truck parts (local shop) order that stuff for me and had them cut it to length, weld and balance it all. I wish i would would have known about them in the first place i would have just had them order everything i needed and make it all. i didnt realize that cpp slipshaft was gonna be so small. I will upgrade that later. O well i will know next time
