I'm pretty much out of commission for the rest of the summer. My truck has a date with the painter in two weeks. I'm just beginning to tear it down. Big job to deconstruct, mark, and document, although the it's easier to tear down than to reconstruct. I may meet up with you guys a few times in my vette. Cheers, Lee

Lee I think if you make it to the Valley in your Vette will be good enough for us as long as you make it.

Hi Vince, no secrets here. Yes, it's down to the bones. Frame off, nut & bolt as they say. Media blasting done, now in primer. Body is in great shape, no dents or waves, very, very little rust. Body man says final bill will be lower than estimate, don't get that kind of news often. With at least 5 re-sprays, that I could see, massive paint cracking, waves on all panels, etc, and my son had it for may years, (high school, collage, and apartment parking lots) I was really worried, so was body man. I got lucky. Lee

Re: SoCal checkin' in

Ok had to ask my friends if this is worth it. I have a chance to get a Shortbed Stepside pictured here for little of nothing. Got the room for it, just not sure if I want to cancel mine and transfer my stuff to this one.
Let me know.

Re: SoCal checkin' in

So I changed my coils from 4 inch to 5 inch today. Not a bad stance, I still want to add drop spindles and maybe lowering blocks. So I took the truck out to test and it was a different ride, still early but it was a smoother ride.
Get back home and my radiator springs a leak.

Dano
Thanks Dano.

Now trying to decided if im going to get the dropped spindles, if so it will be done before our meet in the Valley. That would give me a 5 on 5 drop.

Decided to not go with the drop spindles for now. Thinking that if I drop 2 1/2 more inches in the front on those 15 inch tires, I would be too low. So I will wait until I decided to change the wheels. Got my radiator fixed for now, 20 bucks. Did not want to install a new one now since I dont have a grill and did not want to damage the a new radiator. Are we still on for the 20th?
The 91FWY Truck Show is that Saturday at Canyon RV Park, same place as the Brothers Truck Show. Anyone going to that?
