Nick. I bought them from someone on the board but I believe they all have the inner structure.

Thanks jranger. I'll check them out when I get home. Still haven't made it home yet.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I got a little done today. I put my spark plug wires on. I bought the 75 Corvette set already made up and although they will work I'm not pleased with the outcome. I wish I would have bought a set that I make up the ends. I also want to get one of those dist. caps that lets you have the wires come out 4 on each side. i think it would look a lot better. I had to loosen the motor mounts and lift the motor a little to run the wires through them and the block. Not fun!.See pic. I also decided to get a new starter since mine was caked with oil. I started to run the positive cable along the frame but stopped there.I also got some belts today. The A/C and alt. I thought I had a PS belt but it was too little. I'll get one and a new alt. this week. I did get the black dash pad from a board member. Its just sitting on there. not fastened.

Not sure if trucks used them but starters on cars had a metal shield on the solenoid.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

I got the battery cables done. I got the three front (engine) wiring harnesses that i have out for a look see and they all have something needing attention. I'll see if anyone on here has a better one.

Re: Chucks SWB Fleetside

well I spent most of the day cleaning up in the garage. I took some stuff to the shed that needed to go.
I did manage to get a little done on the 68. I noticed that the speaker brackets that I put in started to get some surface rust on them. So I pulled them out and sanded them and primed them. I also hit the brackets in the cab too. I primed the spots that needed it on my door panels again. Can't load pics. i don't know whats up.
