Hey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You cannot do carnage without the wrecking crew. You were supposed to save us something to do! We can't fix that.

1. What engine stands did you use? I'm going to use the dirty dingo mounts but I'm a little confused about if I can use the Big Block engine stands in my '72 Burb, or if I need to change over to the 73+ stands.
2. Will the factory ac compressor mount with the Dirty Dingo engine mounts? I found out from a reputable shop that the 6.2 AC compressor will work just fine with my Vintage Air Setup (yeah, that means I don't have to buy another compressor for the serpentine system and I hopefully won't have to buy other brackets, depending on what you say).

THanks for your help!! Looks great!!!

1. I'll probably use CPP stands. You could use the 73 and up DD mounts
2. Just depends on the compressor and where you align your motor fore and aft. As far as using the factory compressor, as long as it's not a variable speed one, you will probably be OK. However most of the LS compressors won't work, at least that's what i've been told. Every setup is a little different, so there will be some trial and error no matter how much research you do.

Re: 68 S/C update.....

Your tranny looks a little different than mine.

The housing on the output shaft is longer on mine. I need to measure the shaft to see if your yoke will work. I'll try to get a pick tomorrow from the back and we'll compare.

The driveshaft I sent you a picture of is from a truck, not my motor, so it should work.

Thanks Al!

So I've been taking my time pulling the motor and tranny. I've tried to be very methodical so nothing gets missed and I don't tear anything up (I even have a checklist...). So today after double checking everything, I'm ready to hook the engine hoist up and realize the boom is not long enough.... So I guess it will have to wait one more day until I can track one down tomorrow. What a bummer, I'm ready for this part to be over...... If I can't find a hoist with a long enough boom, I may just buy one of these:
