Did they have valets? Without rear view cameras we have today i doubt 1 in 20 today could back in without hitting the other behind it.

Not a vintage pic but worth an honorable mention for surviving the beach salt all these decades. Believe it is all original , six cylinder and driven by a guy who may have bought it new and may be in same shape. Tried to ask about it but got the messages quick. This photo was taken in 1959 after a truck loaded with explosives caught fire and leveled most of the downtown area of Roseburg, Oregon. Roseburg today is a big hotrod town; I wonder if that AD truck in the background is still somewhere in town?

Yes and much of old downtown roseburg looks same except for homeless roaming around.

There is a memorial plaque at the blast site. The explosion absolutely leveled a square mile of town. At least 14 people were killed. Here's another TF truck in the rubble:

There may be more pictures from that blast here in this thread. The story was very tragic, and as I remember the truck driver blamed himself for the damage despite the trucking company being found at fault.

"Mr First in Line" used this '51 Panel to drive from Yuma to Indy in time to be the first at the 500, for 12 years.
