Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I replaced the cab mounts about 3 weeks ago but not much else lately. It sits at my Dad's house when I have the camaro home. For some reason my wife won't let me keep two toys at the house. LOL

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Made some upper bag mounts for the front of my truck today. Im gonna be kicking myself shortly for making them out of 1/8 plate but I was short on material and if they bend then at least I'll have them for templates for 3/16 plate. And if for some reason they don't bend. SCORE. I really just wanted to get them on to see how its going to sit so I can start working on my lower bag cups.

Motor looks sweet. Where did you get the PS mount from. I think I could make something like that on the CNC

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Today I finished and clamped my bag plates in place so I could figure out where to cut my lowers for my bag pockets. I'm thinking about making them 2.5'' deep. Then I'm gonna look into pie cutting the uppers after I can find some decent pictures of how to do it.
I also worked on my hood a little and welded the patch a little more.

aired up the flat tire and charged the battery. Fired it up and moved it from the street to the drive way then , cut up scrap wood and loaded in the back and loaded up some junk elect motors to haul off. and loaded up old couch in the back also(wife finaly got the new furniture she has been wanting for couple years.)

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Bolted up the flywheel and tranny to the engine and stabbed it into the truck. Of course I forgot to bend the cab seam up so the 700R4 would clear, so tomorrow I will pull it back out and get my mini sledge out and then put it back.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
We are showing this weekend at the World of Wheels in Kansas City. We have a '66 Chevy K10 and a '66 Chevy C20. We will post some photos after the show. Lots of parts to ship, since we have been doing show stuff instead of pulling, packing & shipping parts.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Got a large portion of the wiring harness from the Impala sorted out and started rerouting every thing to the back of the glove box in the truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
it is too bad about this truck. It looks like the exaust system is only a few years old. It is for a 6 cyl though so I have no use for it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I bought a big back window parts truck. It was imported from California so there's only a small amount of rust on the floor. It also came with a spare driver's door, fender, hood and grille and grille support. I'm pretty pumped because my cab was extremely rusty and I was in over my head. I got discouraged with it and didn't work on it for over 2 years. Now in the spring I can get rolling again!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Took the old, poorly repaired, grill support off in preparation to install the rust free one. Put on a new harmonic balancer, old one had spun on the rubber.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Went back. Pulled the engine and tranny back out. I also replaced the front pump seal on the tranny. Then put it back in and bolted it up and even got the headers and water pump bolted up. Now I have a list of things I still need. Oh yeah. I repainted the firewall flat black because the other color was just awful.

Installed license plate lights on the bumper. One on each side of the plate.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Last night actually, but I got my power steering running. Been driving the thing around without since the motor swap... that sucked. When I did the motor swap, my cousin pulled the power steering pump off and I hadn't made a mental note of how the brackets went together so it took a little while of playing to get it back together. Not sure if it is right but at least it works! Sure made driving in to work this morning a lot more enjoyable. Still have some kinks to work out though... like a tune up.

Stopped by the painter today and approved the primer coat. This is getting so close I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Or is that a freight train?
