I don't think they had a neutral switch. I think they substituted a clutch engaged switch instead. Same function, just keeps you from starting it in gear. If you have a brain it really isn't needed with a manual trans.

Sorry I was thinking you were running the SM465 for some reason. Must be another thread I'm thinking of.

Maybe the manufacturer has provisions for one to be installed. See if you can ask the seller a question about this.

I think it may be easier to buy bed sides. I can't get anything to line up and the pass side stake pocket is all jacked up. Ahhh!!!!

Re: My 68 swb build.

Is there any particular reason u want a NSS? You don't HAVE to have one unless you plan on racing it at Baytown or Sealy. An every time iv been to Sealy they never checked NSS. Just my thinking out loud. Ron Francis makes a transmission mounted one that summit sells for about 65 dollars. Or are u wondering if the column already has it built in?

Re: My 68 swb build.

I kno u kno this already but if u get new bedsides make sure they are factory. My damn Goodmark fleet side bedsides that Roger sold me don't fit worth a damn and they made front lower corner of drivers side TOO LONG so it hits cab and now I have to go and pie slice it to make that brand new bedside fit

Re: My 68 swb build.

So you got it to fit or no? It's hard to see in the pics. It's looking pretty correct from what I can see. And where is the stake pocket messed up? Can it be cut out and patch welded?

It does look like a stock reproduction column so it most likely has a provision for a stock NSS of some kind.

I put together my own with a micro switch on the trans so it would only start in park. If the column ends up not having the capability then you can always do it that way.

Re: My 68 swb build.

it was a late start tonight, but i did manage to get two things done tonight.
1. got the pins for the brake booster and pedal linkage cut and installed, only thing left is to put a cotter pins in....will get that from work tomorrow..

2. did yall know that there are 14 nuts on each of the trim rings?? lol that was a pain, too many angles to get in there...got the inner grille riveted in with aluminum rivets and the grille hoops installed. Also got the bowtie in...

Cool! On both! Good progress on the truck man. And I'm a fish person myself. We got a 36 gallon corner tank with freshwater tropical semi-agressive fish.

at least theres one person on here that likes fish...mine are all cichlids...africans. i got pundamilia nyererei, eureka red peacock, rustys, albino zebra trophys, and blue trophys. thats in the 72 gal bowfront...
the 36 gal bowfront has 2 moors, 2 frogs, and a few other tetras...

anyways, back to the truck. i hope to get a few things done after work today, but we'll see...i still have drivers brake line to do and secure them to the frame and bleed them...i tried to do vent lines for the tank and my tubing bender wont do a complete loop...so round two on that one...i did get the booster hose but not installed yet...and the last thing i did was start on changing the power steering lines...theyre not the right year hoses... thats all the update i have for now...i will post pics when the column arrives, should be today or tomorrow..

Re: My 68 swb build.

Just looking back for a pic of the radiator top plate and saw your upper hose. On my 91 Z/28 the hose rousting was similar and it had a support bracket that was mounted to the engine that cradled the hose so it couldn't droop into the belt or alternator fan blades. You might want to look for something like that in the wrecking yards. I bet all serpentine belt V-8 f-bodies had them.
