Looks like the polishing turned out great. I don't see any dents in the pictures. Good idea with the drill too.

Thanks Mike there are a couple of smalle dents that were in the middle of the trim. I could not get to them from the back. Nothing that I am worried about. Once again thanks...

Mark,

What was the part# for your carpet from Trim Parts? In some of your pictures it looks like it extends to the back of the cab. Does it?

Not much happening right now.. Waiting on the glass (it has been over 6 weeks) and the painter (he is busy with some previous commitments). I hope things start moving forward soon...

Re: Crash's 72 K10

Decided to work on the truck some today. I received the new outer grill I ordered from Classic Parts of America. It looks really nice and was shipped with no damage, at least none that I could see. I am a little disappointed in that it is a lighter gauge than the original. I guess that is to be expected since it is a reproduction. I removed the outer grill supports, sand blasted them and painted. I purchased a new center support. I then installed the inner grill, which was an interesting process; I had never seen one installed before. Hopefully I have it right.

Still waiting on glass.. The shipment was rejected by Mike at Musclerodz because some of it was broke (it was a large shipment for numerous vechiles). I have been told that it shipped this week, so hopefully it will be here next week.

Also got the Dakota Digital gauges back. There was problem with the speedometer.. They fixed it and all seems good now..

Re: Crash's 72 K10

This morning I finished up the Grill. I riveted the Left and Right hand Grill supports in.

I also sandblasted and painted the left and right front light pieces. Once again, overall I am happy with the new grill, I don’t like that it is thinner than the original, but it seems to be very solid after all the pieces were installed.

Next I figured out what I would need to do to finish up the AC lines.. I need to have this welded..
