Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
It has been a struggle but I finally got signed up for Covid shots. First one this Saturday, second one April 17.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Wife and I got our 1st shot 2 weeks ago. Moderna. We feel half way better about getting vaccinated now.
Now they are saying yearly boosters may be required for the foreseeable future.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I have been expecting that. Much like the flu, Covid probably can change year-to-year, and we'll have to keep up with it. If that's how it turns out, I wonder if the vaccines can be combined, with just one shot needed annually to help immunize against both Covid and the flu.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Might want to take it easy for a day or two. After my second shot I woke up at 3am with chills and an achey body. Many people and most of my coworkers have reported the same thing after the second shot (Pfizer). First shot all I had was a sore arm, just like a tetanus shot. I’ve never felt anything or had any side effects from the flu shot.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I felt only mild pain like a flu shot from either injection. Just goes to show how different people are. I got the Pfizer vaccination.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Wife and I had our second Pfizer shots last Tuesday and had no pain or any kind of reaction. We got our shots at or local Hy-Vee store. The needle they used was about 1 1/4" long compared to the 3" ones they show on TV. LockDoc

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
I'll be getting Moderna. Mrs Stocker has other medical stuff going on so will have to wait for hers.
Getting signed up here has been a real crap shoot. No waiting list so it's first-come, first served whenever more doses become available.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
From what I have heard, the clotting issue -- though rare -- was in Europe with a different brand of vaccine (I forget which) and it turned out to be not caused by the vaccine. Does not appear to be a problem, at any rate.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Mike I believe that was Astra Zeneca from the UK that is discontinued due to links to blood clots.
We received Moderna.

You could enlist a gal and a bunch of friends and do one of those "bed races"

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Both of our light duty truck mechanics are out this week so I got sent to do some emergency work on this 2019 F350 power joke. Got it all Fixed up before lunch. Should have taken a picture of the mangled headlight I replaced. Some how the rig crew ran it into the back of the work over rig as they were moving from well to well.

Not today, but earlier this week.
I painted the chin spoiler and rear quarter-window covers of a friend's Mustang.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Got the first Moderna shot this morning, no issues. Well, almost none -- date was changed for the second shot and the online system would not allow the change.
Was able to cancel the original (wrong) date but could not schedule the new date.

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Between fixing the fuel crossover switch on the 85 and finishing up the console on the 72 I found time to boil sap . Second is after 20 gallons down starting to amber up

Re: What did you do today not on your truck...
Pretty simple maple sap is between 2 and 4% sugar. When you boil it down (evaporation) you concentrate the sugar. Takes on average 30 to 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup. Your also concentrating the maple taste. Going to try birch and black walnut next year
