Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

i found these random boxes containing the brake assembly parts. Gas and brake pedal. I made the brake pedal to match my gas 1. I also drilled the brake pedal arm to match the gas 1.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

I got the trans mount and poly plus, from cpp. this part does not fit properly. I had to slot the slots and ream the frame holes, and grind the ends by like a 1/16 on each end, in order to install this.

That is some serious equipment you have there Alex! That looks like some high dollar paint material you're using too. Looking forward to seeing it on your truck.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Well I admit to beaing a chronic tool hoarder. I see blue in the near future, after 3-4 yrs in the making it's finally becoming a reality. I am trying to put together a quality product as this will represent my name and demonstrate my crafting abilitys. Everything is done in house nothing is subbed out, other than the upholstery, I don't do stitching .

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

i started final assembly on the front, being extra cautious not to scratch anything, all bolts have lock tite applied and torqued accordingly. i still need to install the rack and the spindles.

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

Reinforcement to the cut out i did for the steering shaft. i used some flat bar following the cut out, i welded it all the way around back and front and sanded the top smooth, after the paint it really looks good

Re: LS1 into a 73 cheyenne

as for the k member itself i did not want to weld it. I prefer having the removable option, this might be needed later in future for what ever reason,
