Re: "Rice Rocket'

The bolts are all tight, should I loosen/retighten em all?

#1 was at tdc idk what stroke, it seemed to start idle good and rotor was at #1.

Compression stroke is when it pushes your finger off sparkplug hole right?

And do I NEED an adj. vac. adv.?

check the gaskets on the headers/manifold if they are blown out or cracked.
yes, when it pops you finger off.
you are plugging your vacuum advance line going to your dist. when setting the timing right?

Re: "Rice Rocket'

Yes pluggin the vac.line going to dizzy and I was supposed to have been plugging the vacumn port on the carberator too (which i wasnt doing, so i hope thats why I was getting a false reading?..)

They are new dounuts, but I didnt tighten it up all evenly, I ran 1 nut down, then the next, then next then tightened em all up good

my mom is picking up a msd cap/rotor for me THANK YOU MOMMY lol

Re: "Rice Rocket'

New cap/rotor

Carberator after rebuild (still need to put the side linkage on, anyone got a pic of edelbrock 600 left side pic)

Still need to do some adjustments on the outside of it.

And I need to get my motor back at TDC #1 Compression stroke

Can i bump the motor over with no dizzy? (No oil pumping oil)

Thanks

Re: "Rice Rocket'

How big is your cam? This is gonna sound like a silly question but are you positive that both of your marks are lined up exactly right on your timing chain set?

Re: "Rice Rocket'

the dots, yes i was paying attention still at that point (drove 1 hr north of me to assemble my bottom end with the machinest who was an older guy maybe 50s/.60s)

The top sprocket dot was at the bottom, the lil sprocket at the bottom the dot was at the top

Anyone know if I can bump the motor over with no dizzy, is that ok/safe?

Yeah, I cant wait till its back on the road im really gettin tired to working on it constantly..

Ive still gotta get the timing crap set right, get my 600 edelbrock on (finished, anyone have a side pic of edelbrock manual choke carbertor?). And do a gas filler for my blazer tank, ive got one in the floor now but it leaks etc and is a crappy idea..ugh. I pulled the 69-72 trim off today i guess i'll throw it in the barn and save it for another truck if i ever finish this one..Im thinkin bout spray bombin my orange bed blue to match the truck lol...idk I may roll it out and wash it and get pics idk..im searchin for blazer tank fillers now, thinkin thru the backup light..but will have to somehow trim inside stakepocker
