Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
picked this one up in Montana last month for $1500. Complete and running. No plans to restore just clean up and make roadworthy. Has a 283 4 spd and everything works. Needs a new box bed and floorpans. Also a steering box, so I may put a blazer steering box on there as its free.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
It aint your imagination! At the Dixie Fried car show this year there were about 8 or more! Dixie fried is a pretty big show here in Atlanta and primarily traditional rods so for that many 60-66s to be there is a trend indicator!

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
I used to only see about 2-3 running around Fort Hood. Now I see about 30+ 60-66 running around, A lot more c10's in general. Got to love old american made sheet metal.

Yeah they're coming out of the wood work, and being driven again.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
At least the old trucks have lasted 40 years . Which is more than the new trucks can say. Heck I cannot even work on my superduty powerstroke.

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Boy I dunno. I really love these old trucks but the truth is, the first set of spark plugs last longer in a new truck than the whole truck did back in the day. A freind of mine bought a 1949 chev 1 ton from the original owner. With it, he got the owners manual and all of the original paperwork. The warrenty on that truck was 90 days or 5000 miles. GM had alot of confidence in their stuff back then
