Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
The Clydesdales were at the brewery in Fairfield. So yep they brought them to work. Both of the trucks look great. Good luck on weight gain.

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
no probs with the weight Dale, finally caught some decent weather and racking up some decent hrs, weight has stabilized around 190...i can live with it...
thought the no smoking would get easier after a month or so, but the last couple weeks i been getting some super STRONG urges, guess now that some time has passed and all the nicotine has left my body, my brain is constantly yelling for some more...lol thinking this is prob the hardest thing i've tried, but i am now starting to enjoy the benefits. just wish my rims and tires for the '66 crew would hurry up and get here. ordered them last month, usually is 7-10 days, going on week 4 now.....what is going on.... so nothing on it did some work on the '55, but i got a prob with it too...thought i had a int tub for it, but dont have one. got nuthin even close, one out of a car, but major, major work.... going to try find a stepside '55, get my int tub and have a stepper box for the '60 crew to come, think the stepper will look better on the crew than the short fleet. did get some of the drivetrain done on the '55 needs d-shafts and stuff. 4 wheel disc's from the opt parts out of the '65 stepper cleaned the cameo markings off the bed (too busy for my liking...) and enlarged the small rear window a bit more.... |

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
Keep up the good work. I've been told the urges never go away. The 55 looks great but what a bummer on the interior tub.

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
thanks Dale! was a slow build...
welp, made another trip to the big city today, got rained out at work, and darned if my income tax refund showed up today... want to get the '55 s/cab done.... ....so i can start the '60 crewcab. picked up the '55 stepper for 25 clams, now i got an int tub to build off of for the '55 s/cab, and will use the stepper box on the '60 crewy...confusing?...yup.... was hoping to get the MPC Deserter truck ('84 GMC) for the blaze i got the other month. have a '69 and a '77 blazer, would like a square eye '80's now. but he sold his last one couple days ago. but i did pick up this un-opened silverado for $10. dont have any new chevy trucks except for one '99 silverado dawg destroyed with his tail the other yr, here i go, another crew of a modern chev out of the two.. |

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd
ya, really been liking the '60's cabs lately...
guy i work with gave me this today was'nt the custom truck parts pack... but a chevy stepside... pretty much just a body, no dash, motor, frame, glass, grille, bumpers, steering wheel or running gear. got 99% of what i need in the parts box, just no frame. have started with less... good timing though, only got 2 trucks left after the '60 crew |

It's looking great so far. I like the vent window in the rear doors.
