Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
No progress to report. My garage was blocked by the tree/debris for a few weeks till insurance was sorted out (still actually working on that) and since then it's been either raining or I've been too busy to finish up the cab. Hope to have some time tomorrow or fri so I can finish it and the guy who bought the cab can pick it up. Will be left with the rolling frame to sell still....then will be starting on another project to be announced soon!

I had that happen. A neighbors tree fell on both my garage and his too at the same time. His insurance covered the repairs to mine but didn't cover his. For some reason if your own tree falls on your own property and causes damage his insurance didn't cover it. But if it falls on the neighbors house or fence and causes damage then they cover the repair to the neighbors property only.

Re: Rebuild on a shoestring.....continued
Thanks, I'm happy with how it turned out and the guy who picked it up today was as well My favorite part is where the nasty shifter hole was....besides the fact that they messed the recessed "rib" up a bit, you can't tell there was ever a hole there!

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=537715 All that's left of the truck is the frame and some misc parts that I'll sell or use on future builds. I hope to be able to pick up a parts hauler truck soon and when I do I'll start another thread and it'll be a budget build too for all the guys that like the budget builds. I'll try to keep track of the $$$ investment on that one. The current project is going to be an awesome driver that will be nice enough to take to shows if he wants to.
