I've got an 02 2500HD with the 8.1 and absolutely love this truck...got some stuff done to it, Iridiums, 8.1mm Taylor wires, borlas, leveled on 33's, mainly used to tow a number of trailers. Currently looking for a tune to get rid of the rev limiter and torque management.

Crappy video of the borlas

Just bought this 07 1500hd a few months ago. Just put on CST 4" spindles and 20x9 Moto Metal wheels with Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 33x12.50 tires. I love it, as it's my daily driver.

Re: How about some pics of 99-06

Here is a pic of my truck you can see, it's an 01 4x4 GMC.
It's nothing flashy, no 20's no bling, it was left to me when dad passed in the spring.
Although he's not here, no longer alive, he still rides with me each time that I drive.
It's no substitution, but when I get in, the seats and interior still smell just like him.
It's a great little truck, I've a 68' too, I'm all over the forum, not somebody new.
So look at my builds and watch as they go, and if you see me around please drop a hello.

Here's my 99 I bought recently. 5.3 with 4L60E (waiting on 3rd transmission rebuild), 3" body lift, a little crank, and 33" all terrains. She's got some rust issues, might fix that later.

Re: How about some pics of 99-06

My 2000 with 5.3. Lowered it with 3" belltech front springs and djm flip kit. Truck already had belltech 2" lowering shackles. Had to change it to the 1" setting. My front lowered more than I thought it would. It looks more like a 4" drop which I'm not complaining about. My truck sets perfect for me

Clean truck NewMex, but that front bumper is begging to be raised.

Thanks man. If you are referring to the black part between the bumper and grill that is a stock black trim that all Duramax's have. I plan on painting it white to mach. Not sure why they didn't do it at the factory.

That's exactly what I'm referring to, painted white looks ok, I've seen many done that way, but IMO it looks much better just to raise the bumper 2" and ditch the black spacer (either cut it off, or just run a 1500 grille). It's not a Duramax thing thing, all 3/4 HD and one tons have it. Besides, it makes a lifted truck look even taller with very little work.

This was my 03 GMC, first with the black spacer:

And After, with the bumper raised 2.5" and a 1500 grille (wasn't worth cutting the spacer off the stock grille since the chrome was already flaking off).

Note, I used 2.5" square tubing because it's what I had lying around, so it raised mine 2.5". 2" would give a stock gap between the grille and bumper, same as if you looked at a 1500, mine was simply 1/2" tighter. All it requires is some 2" tubing, new bolts, and a slight trim on the back side of the bumper brackets. About an hour's worth of work.
