Lmao! Well today I took the hood off and did a very brutal way of straightening it out... And no there was no "sledgehammer" (lol) but SHE looks alot better! Ill post pics tomorrow it's to dark now

Lol I have so many backyard ideas that I execute quite well. And when I'm done you would have no idea what I actually did to get the truck looking the way it does. I guess this is how you learn "tricks of the trade"!

I tore it down just enough to make a parts list and attack plan. I had my dd elco tore down for some mods. So was driving my K30 dually so the progress is the elco is now together so I can drive it. Theres pic in my remembering dads lessons thread.

i see the pics of the wreck but no pics of the tear down. sure does make me sad to see that happen to your truck... you could probably find an original paint hood in that blue to keep your patina going. and the passenger fender did match to well anyways so you can probably get the correct painted one now. theres bunches of the 71-72 blue and white 2 tone chevys around.

Sorry, there isn't any pics of the teardown I'll start abuild thread when I post em. Someone just asked bout my progress on that thread so I posted pics of the elco cause thats what I progressed on. I am looking for patinaed blue and white parts but probably just paint it

Well I'm back on the lookout for a 327 again. I'm also in the process of getting a new gear box. The fuel guage is finally working and I need to get my temp guage working again and ill be set!

haha but but but shawn you've seen my arms... I to weak for manual steering haha plus i gave one to my buddy and the other one im keeping for the 67 GMC. plus the 67 chevy already has power steering its just the gear box isnt so good.

Gotcha, rebuilt units from O'Reillys are like $125 and come with a lifetime warranty. Thats where I got mine.

That's exactly what I'm gonna do. We got one for my 68 and it steers really nice! So I'm gonna do the same for the 67.
