Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Found this little fridge magnet in Del's truck while stripping it for Martin yesterday.
Quite liked it. Would guess its a few years old. Anything of interest associated with it? Sometimes these things are part of a bigger thing.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I had a glass company come and do it..heck...they pulled the old glass and rubber...installed new glass and rubber..all for $245..even came to my house to do it. Unfortunately I didn't have time to hang around and see them do it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
$245 for glass, gasket and all labor. From the top of the glass down a couple inches is tinted. Kinda like new windshields...weird to get used to. lol

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Bought myself another set of wheels for my '64 short bed step side today. Original 16" wheels and hubcaps with just the right amount of Patina to match my truck. They need tyres as the old cross-plys are well passed their best.
What size modern tyres are you guys running on these wheels on your trucks? Picking them up this weekend - can't wait! |

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
I did not actually do anything, but I got home from a business trip and received a package from TBONE1964, a member here who has a business called Classic Gauge and Cluster (support@classicgaugeandcluster.com). Wish the rest of my 62 looked this good.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III
Actually when I work on a friend's truck my truck does complain......gives me quite an attitude to. Heck, When I was working on my 66 and needed crustine to move some parts she broke down! Quit working on my 66 and gave crustine some attention and then she ran fine again. lol Then today she decided to act up again...."More food" she cried, so I fed her more(turned out the jets another turn and a 1/4! LOL!) Well she's never ran better! haha! Needs a good carb kit though...the accelerator pump is shot and the carb if filled with cats and dogs no doubt. lol Good ol

Old trucks go where you want them too without complaining.

You put a sticker on the air cleaner? Busy day.
lol Kidding, of course. I've run an Edelbrock carb on my 71 Pontiac for over 20 years, and it runs great. |
