Re: 67-72 cab corner 6x9 speaker brackets

Went to install my brackets and realized the small floor brackets are different-one has elongated slotted holes which match up with the 2 holes in the bottom of the main speaker bracket- and the other has straight up/down elongated holes which are spaced 1/4-1/2 too short to have both holes line up with the 2 holes in the bottom of the main speaker bracket. What am I missing? (picture below)

Bigblock73,

Your inbox is full, but on a similar note to the above, the floor brackets are bent at 90 degrees, which considering the cab slopes done significantly at the point, would make it impossible for the floor bracket to be in contact with both the floor and bracket.

I already started fabbing up new floor brackets, longer, holes in right spots, bent at about 120 degrees, but just wondering if you may be sending out floor brackets for different years with the 67-72 main speaker brackets.

Those of you with those brackets and carpet- are you guys running the carpet underneath the speaker brackets or just cutting the carpet short and buttoning against the bottom? Can't really tell from all the pictures.

Would like a set with holes for a 67 please, the ones in my 65 fit perfectly, so we’re going to do it again.
