Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Got my Dad to come over and give me a hand.
Got the exhaust in place. And mirrors hung. Drove it to the fuel station and filled it up... ha. $145.00 later. Here are some photos...

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Thannks. I am wanting to take it for a decent ride. The truck is licensed, insured but the cooler I am sitting on for a seat will not likely satisfy the police in my town. I am sure I will be pulled over. Ha. The seat mounts I have are for a 73-80 and the seat and seat covers I got are for an 81-87.
I did not want a rigid seat. I wanted a folding seat. Posted via Mobile Device

Did you go with black or brown seat cover? I'm guessing black since the door panels are black?

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
I went with black. I took the easy route. I really did not want to dye everything. I have to modify the seat to put in the truck.
Unfortunatley my cousin who has done some of my weldind is romancing his wife today. So I have to wait until tomorrow to get it done. Ha. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Nothing too exciting today, but did get the seat belt bolts out. I am happy with that.
I ordered some Kenwood 4x10 speakers. With a little altering I got them installed. Throughout my travels I picked up a 4 channel amp. Thought I would throw it into the mix.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Honestly, no... It turned out only one bolt was a PITA.
I give it a bit of heat around the base and used a better pipe wrench and it turned out pretty effortlessly. I am taking my truck out for the first time this weekend to a local flea market and car show. It is not finished to the way I would like it, but I got to get it out on the road... ha.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Good morning All,
Just thought I would share a photo from the weekend. I took my truck and bus and some parts to the first automotive flea market at the Lindsay Fairgrounds. It was a great turn out. Even though the truck was not done, it got several looks and several pictures of it where taken. That really makes it all worth while. I really enjoyed the comments of when I took it through town and allegedly "rattled the windows of downtown Lindsay". I guess I got what I was looking for... ha. Anyway I appreciate all the following throughout the build and the great comments so far. I still have some work to do to make it finished, but I am almost there.

Re: 1981 Chevrolet C50 Pick-up Conversion
Hey I've got a quick question I figure this is the best place to ask without making a new thread not trying to jack this thread or anything, but can you upload pictures straight to a thread like from an iPod or any other moble device or do you have to use something like photobucket and link the picture?
