Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

Mike I had some questions on your bolt on body drop. What degree is your motor set at? What did you have to do to the floor if anything? You can pm me if you'd like. Thanks

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

Thanks everyone ! As far as the degree of the motor I don't remember ? Mod to the cab , I had to stretch the top of my high hump cover, notch out a 4x2 inch section right behind the notch cover where the yoke was touching the floor and then notch the last crossmember under the cab for unjoint clearance

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

Mike,
How'd you deal with all the painted fastners!? I'm painting all my panels separate and am trippin about how to paint all the screws, clips, washers, etc.. the right color and how NOT to screw them all up during assembly. I do remember the clear adhesive stuff you put under the door hinges, but how'd you wrench it all down without chipping the paint? Got a plastic socket set?

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)

i used to work for a sighn company making roadsighns
they used some corragated sheetmetal
they bended the ends so it was sitting somewat of the surface and put all the screws and stuff intoo the holes from the top , when you done that go over it a few times with the paintgun then shake it a little so the screws arent too gleued to the holder after the paint is dry and leave it in the paintbooth with the rest of the stuff , works great only the tops are painted and the tread stuck through the plate is usually bare , most of the work is putting everything in there , nuts prolluy be harder to do , perhabs you cant put them on some weldingrod blow over them with an airgun so there somewat apart and carefully paint them and leave them alone
