Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I drove to Sacramento from SF to get a $35 turn signal switch and when I got there found out they don't sell that one anymore but they do sell the $68 Autowire one that is "Made In the USA". I only needed it for a few months but I bought it anyway. When I swap out the column to the automatic column I will put the new switch in that column.
I drove back home and installed the new switch and then all my brake and turn signals worked.. I also picked up a rear veiw mirror and new windshield rubber.. I think I will install the rear veiw mirror today.

I love that interior. It reminds me of the inside of a semi truck but I still love it.

It does remind me of that too, nice job and like the switches and gauges too.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

First off, markeb01, that interior shot is awesome! That diamond tuck looks perfect and the gauges and switches looks great as well. Perfect execution.

I was actually able to get new tires put on the truck and get rid of the old mis-matched dry rotted ones. I had been holding off trying to find some steel wheels and get rid of those nasty cheap chrome ones but I guess there aren't any more steel wheels left lying around in Southwest MO apparently.

I also bought some model paint and repainted the blue bow tie and the red in my side emblems. Started the black script in the sail panel as well. Looks a little better. No pics yet of that. Maybe tomorrow. I did paint the grille and bumper back to white a couple weeks ago. I posted a crappy pic after my electrical fire, here is one, though not much better, but I still think it is far better than the black grille and bumper.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

My chrome grill and bumper came in the mail yesterday, so I installed them today. Damn the original bumper bolts were all rusted and frozen. I had to cut them off with a wheel cutter.

Looks great with the chrome wheels, definitely worth the money, x2 on the side trim, more bling the better

I love the way that looks, I've considered doing the same, what's your plan for the Pcv valve?

My friend and hot rod builder, Chip Quinn here in Phoenix, drilled the back of the manifold and built a baffle underneath. There will be a vent at the fill tube. I would give you more details but I am out of my league. Chip reads this thread and will chime in I am sure.

What a big difference a chrome gril, bezels and bumper make, well worth it.

Man that looks sick tucked in the step.
Got one box side shortened up so I can start my 4 link and have the wheel entered. Still have a lot of work to make the tire fit properly.

Will sit here with no air. And the pinch weld is going off the rocker . Don't see changing a flat to be very fun!

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Changing a flat, that is funny, just take the box off. Everything has something about it doesn't it, just like a lifted truck, a give and take, but all fun and cool at the same time.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

make the bed tilt!

I have 31" rear tires, and I was perfectly happy with wingnuts on the bed mounting bolts the guy building the backhalf decided it should tilt.
