Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
I'm new to this side of the forum, but here is the 78 from my signature (I don't have any pics of the 76). I plan to see how much I can do with it for little to no money.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
The more I see lifted 4x4 square bodies the more I want one. If it wasn't such a PITA I'd probably try to find a 4x4 parts truck to snatch the front end/transfer case/rear end out of and make mine a 4x4. Then I'd have to lift it, buy some big rubber to go under it and my MPG's would go doooowwwwnnn lol.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Here are some crappy cell picks of mine...It started life as a 1975 3/4 ton, has 65k actual miles, 454/ th400 tilt air power brakes and steering siverado camper special. Now it has 1/2 ton suspension, Boss 20 x8.5" wheels with Sumitomo 275/40 R 20 tires, 5.5" front drop/ 7" rear drop...still need to get some old school flames on it!

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Thank you sir. I had to tub the rear and yank out the inner fenders in the front and roll the inner lip on the fenders in the front also. The front is still rubbing on the inside of the fender when going over big dipps on the freeway at high speeds but that will change...The current tires that im running are 265/40/22 in the front and 305/40/22 in the rear. The front tires are almost done, I`ll end up going with a 265/35/22 in the front which will eliminate the rubbing 100% and at the same time lower the front about an inch which will give me that rake I`m looking for.
Work in progress, she is my daily driver and I try to get done as much as i can on the weekends hehehe. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Thank you sir its nice to be in the same place with people that appreciate a LWB hehehe. So sick and tires of the shorts, had 3 of them myself....
That's all we can do, the people that are trying to resotre their c10 or 20s that still keep them as daily drivers. Work on them as much as possible every chance we get. I hate garage queens hahaha. |
