Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Thanks!
Nothing better than trucking to the Pomona Swap Meet & Classic Car Show and hanging out with good friends. Truck ran amazing and did over 500 miles.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Now the real fun begins. I still haven't decided if I'm going to go through the fire wall or kick panel with the hoses.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Go through the kick panel so you can show me how you did it. That's where I want to go through when I'm to that point. Good luck with it. Truck is looking awesome.

Very nice! I like the kick panel idea too but I'm not sure how it's done....

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Vintage Air did an awesome job on these lower compressor brackets. I can't believe how much more room I have now.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
That looks like a great fit. Enough room to run lines?
Edit: is it an Alan Grove bracket supplied by vintage?

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
The lines from my condenser through the core support are way to long since I have no battery and running low mount compressor. Now I need to modify the lines.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
Made a simple bracket for the evaporator to hang from the cowl and I'm going to use the engine oil dipstick bolt In the fire wall to secure the evaporator unit. It's the cleanest way I could come up with without drilling holes into the fire wall.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
With a lot of research and pictures from this forum I have decided this is going to be the cleanest way to run the A/C & heater hoses through the firewall.

Re: Started my first frame off - 72 SWB LS1, 6-spd manual
No one in town has the bulkhead fitting, so I had to order it from VA. Went ahead and pulled the hood and hood hing in preparation to make the holes needed to mount bulkhead fitting.
