ok.. well.. lemmie first say gage... never forget your age..
you need to remember opinions form with time.. this is called experience.. an opion without experience is what?... ignorance... please dont be a ignorant "kid" and listen understand, and you have full right ot disagree with "opinions" but do in fact do it repectfully... if "perf" or jason or fette or longhorn, kevin.. anyone MORE EXPERIENCED then myself... is to say "mitchell yer an idiot.. or hey dude do this instead".. no matter what my experience is i do in fact take it into consideration... it doe in fact save you time money and a **** ton of heartache.. just my two cents.. dotn be a punk kid like the rest of your/our generation... it' snot productive

Now, I'll respond to your comments because I disagree with them somewhat. I have 2 Fords. You'll find them in my signature. They're vans. I like the design and I've used the same shelf setup from one to another and this is mainly because Ford ran this model for 14 years. Saves me from having to make a conversion. That's where it ends for me. I've never found a ford truck that will carry the payload of a chevy and we've put alot of them to use over the years. I've been in the construction business now for roughly 25 years dating back to working for my old man As for the transmissions, it's all a matter of proper maintenance. For some reason fords will go longer without being flushed and having fresh filters and fluid. However, if you do this even occasionally with a chevy transmission it will go just as long. As for the TH400, there isn't a stronger transmission as far as I'm concerned. My '72 still has the factory tranny in it. As for suspension are you implying that coil sprung is bad? Because that's one thing I love about the old Chevys is the coil springs and trailing arms. I worked my first '72 Chevy like it was a 1 ton and I even had shingles piled up higher than the cab of the truck once and still didn't bottom it out. Combine that with the fact that it made the trucks handle like a beast and how can you go wrong? The trailing arms work like ladder bars too. In fact, if you go to your local Nascar race and go look under a ford race car it will have the GM trailing arm and coil spring suspension. Both of my GMC's are leaf sprung including the '72 but they won't carry what my coil sprung 72 cheyenne did. I also can't get the same traction that I did with the trailing arm suspension. As for my current work truck, it's a '90 GMC. It will be a long time before I get another one but it will definitely be another GM truck. As for the Ford, Chevy wars, they will always be fun but I'm here because I'm a GM truck fan. Besides, Fords are ugly.................... |

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
I would put a 650 on it......It would have better throttle response than the 750.

Re: ''Project '64 SYT Super Yenko Truck"
well im going to try to convince my dad to buy me a 670 street avenger
and for the trailing arms i dont see a leaf spring ford running low 9s on stock suspension like kevin (djracer) so i agree on that part but i like my ford i guess because it was free and looks halfway decent
