Nice..I posted about the same on my Blazer yesterday in the blazer forum. I made a panel to cover the gap in front of my radiator and behind the core support .

Original truck color was vermilion but was repainted, not too well I'll admit, by the PO a shade of maroon. She's a fine looking 30 footer. LOL

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

I did some painting of small parts and I did some grille work on the 68. I think it's going to be fine once I clean it up and sand it down and primer it. The ramp truck makes a nice work area to by the way.
Oh I fixed my neighbor's tail lights for him on his 94 truck. He had no tail lights when he showed up. When he left he had all his lights working.

I had to work on the spot light on the ramp truck to it wouldn't come on. Had to take it a part and clean the contacts inside the light fixture and inside the handle. I also sprayed it down with lithium grease to make it move better.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Installed wiring harness today in hopes of test firing my engine. Also I temporarily installed the cab and front clip to ascertain where my computer, airbox, and battery will eventually go. I’m not sure if I want more of a factory look or a custom look under the hood.

Man, it feels good to look at something that resembles truck instead of only pieces of a truck!

This week I wet sand and buffed the truck. Yesterday I painted the seat cover for now. I struggled with a color to eventually do my seat. I think black leather would be fine.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

picked up a replacement motor for the GMC. 350 with camel hump heads. It was in a T-Bucket but only ran a few hours and he replaced it with something else. Sat for a couple years. I'll put a different cam in and new accessory brackets on and $$ dictates what else.

Thanks. Since bodywork and paint will be dead last I told my nephew this weekend that when it gets road worthy it will look much better underneath than on top!

Grmpy - you and I should be neighbors. That is exactly how my projects seem to go. Start small and scope creep sets in right off the bat. The end product is always nice but usually more time and money than originally thought.

Andy - where did you get the seals and who is the maker?

I ordered them from GMCPauls website. Per their site.

Re: What did you do to your truck today. The 3rd chapter

Told the guy light blue he brings me an Ochre bed.

JK, the guy does good work. This is the first stage on the bed, though the underside and inside are done. We finished the body dry run, drilled for the tail bezels and lower molding. We'll work on the side moldings next time. Someone stuffed a LH upper tailgate molding in a RH NOS bag. Long story I got three LH, no RH
