Looks like it's going for that "Prerunner" vibe.

then it's missing the long travel front suspension, that dead axle is nothing but an anchor undriven..

otherwise fairly nice wheelin rig but woefully short of finished to be effective offroad..

Hard to justify that price with so much missing.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

72 GMC nice condition $31,900. Not mine.
There seems to be some confusion about the words fixed and broken.

https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/d/re...365649528.html

Original drive train, TMU. A super clean 3 doors that runs and drives excellent.

price 31,900 or best offer

Odometer is fixed at 4,440 so don't know exactly what the miles are.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

A strange ad to say the least. My guess it is for a previously listed truck that didn't sell.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/p...373286863.html

1971 , 1967-1972 Suburban Glass, Barn Doors, Side Quarter Glass, Hood and Hood Hinges,
4 Speed Trans granny Low, 350 Engine, Rolls Over, Body is rough but Many Good Pieces,

The one in the picture is for reference sake Only, Actual Rig is White and Two Wheel drive with Front Disc Brakes

1967-1968-1969-1970-1971-1972 3 Door, Suburban C20,C10, K10,K20

The ad has been updated with photos of the actual truck. Still no price listed.
My original assumption was wrong or at the least I don't remember this particular Burban.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

68 panel $6000. Not mine.

https://portland.craigslist.org/nco/...361731887.html

68 panel has been in the back of our shop for the last couple decades or more waiting for paint just never got to it. First owner was the county road department it was used as a survey car. Almost 89thousand on it.In the 1990s the motor was cleaned up and added a mild cam and four barrel. Replaced the distributor and brakes in the front end a couple years ago and bought a new windshield but didn’t get around to putting it in that’s it in the box. The wood deck is original and bumpers and seats are as well. Asking $6,000 or best offer. Warrenton Oregon

Re: Suburban and panel finds

I sure do. And I'd prefer a 3/4 ton K, but would definitely take a 1/2 ton as a starting point if I could find one a bit closer. This one is real tempting though! I wonder how much beer Mike would charge me to store it on his farm until Im ready to tear into the project....

Re: Suburban and panel finds

It certainly is odd. I wonder if something corrosive got spilled on the inside at some point. Or it got hit there and never properly sealed after the repair. Looks like a good candidate for a body swap.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

road salt typical.. more on the right because a single leg usually spins that side and throws it all up in there.. plus that's the spare tire well side.. in the areas that salt, it migrates toward the shoulder as it wears off the roadway so heavier damage on the right is common

I had the same thought although I'm pretty sure I have a good '72 K20 chassis lined up locally. Mike and I are going to head out to take a look in the next couple weeks and hopefully work a deal.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

68 C10 Custom Delux $800. Not mine. It needs lots but the entry fee is great! However I have my doubts about the whole 1968 thing.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/p...403979907.html

1968 Suburban, TWO WHEEL DR, Custom Deluxe...This thing is ultra rare and loaded...Orig 350/T400 combo, front and rear air, PS, power disc brakes, posi 3.23 rear, tach and full gauges, tilt steering, power windows and tailgate, came with 15x8 rallies, soft Ray tinted gass, rear spoiler/air deflector, roof rack, deluxe interior, two tone paint, towing package, deluxe chrome pedals trim, and some trim work down the bottoms of the windows that I have NEVER seen on another 'burban...
No...It's not all there..
Yes...It has rust...
No...This is not a "Wash it and call it good" burb...
But....
Yes...It has all the right original pieces...
Yes...They repro all the other stuff..
YEEEES...When you are done with it, you will have the most desirable 'Burban, in the most desirable year, with an option package we will call the "unicorn" RPO...
Not for the faint hearted...BUTT..
Fortune favors the brave...
$750 firm for the next two days only...
