Re: GM Semis
I remember those! It's actually a WW9500, did use a T series cab but it was raised up to clear a Detroit 6V-71 (look at the fenders). They were a special order model for car haulers, this one belonged to Pacific Motor Transport, part of the Southern Pacific Railroad. Ryder had them too. The W series was dropped in 1974, but I have heard these special versions continued for a few more years, some with 8V-71's.

Re: GM Semis
Went back and looked closely at this truck. I think it might be an MH-9501, not the standard 9500. The 9501 was a special lightweight 'western' style long conventional (think Peterbilt 359). The 9501's usually came with Alcoa wheels, lot of other aluminum parts like fuel tanks, ect., and a 318 horse 8V-71/Roadranger. One other feature the 9501's often had was a 3 trumpet Grover air horn. Take a close look at the horn on this one.

Re: GM Semis
A 6V or 8V-71 in a Tilt would be something interesting to see.
What kind of Trans would they run?

Re: GM Semis
Book says Fuller RT910 10 speed, probably could get an Allison too. The basic truck was a long wheelbase twin screw tractor.

One of my favorite Transmissions. Glad to see that they weren't 5 & 2's.

My first C-60 was a 5+2 with a goofy top 4 gears. 4L-5L to 4H-5H pattern.
