Thanks Steve.. I am still taking bites out of it.. just smaller than I like.. I actual drove it out of the shop and backed it back in so that I could do some painting in the shop this weekend. It felt good, but I still have a ways to go.

Re: Crash's 69 K10

Weekly update time.. I received my shifter from PICKMUP.. It was just as he described.

The knob was a little rough with some nicks and the paint was gone from the lettering.. So I sand the nicks out, and polished the knob..

Installed..

The spring spacers that I bought from LMC are junk.. this is the second set.. I heard them crack when I was tighen the U-bolts. I got a set of orignals from BLAZERMAN.. great guy.. set them to me free, didn’t even allow me to pay for the shipping.

Next I decide I needed to seal the speedometer out on my transfer case since it will not be used in this build..

Final I decide to paint the lower dash cover, hope to install it tomorrow.

Not sure how it installs.. over the bezel or under it… Any have any pictures?

Re: Crash's 69 K10

Cleaned the wheels and tires today. I doubt I keep these, but thought I would clean them up anyway (Maybe they will bring more when I sell them). They cleaned up pretty good, the rims are in great shape and the tires are like new. The rims really need to be cleaned up better than what I did today.

I picked up the AC line that McBassin welded up for me.. Once again thanks Mike.

Talked to Mike at MuscleRods yesterday, he said my glass should be here any day.. Maybe I can get the glass in over the next couple of weeks.

I had my knob polished once - was real happy with the results.

Crash the truck is coming together quite nicely. Love the black! The LS power will make the truck a complete package.

Re: Crash's 69 K10

I favor the factory truck rallyes! Especially if you can find a set widened to 10" and done right. The wheels you have look great and the best part is they aren't costing you a dime.

Thanks tsnow.. I really don't care much for the donut look on the wheels and tires.. I know a lot of people do, and it really fits in with the era of the truck.. but I am going to look for larger rims..

But you are right.. they aren't costing me anything right now.. So I am no hurry..

Have a great day..

What the crap!

The truck looks great Mark. I always wanted this wheel when I had my Z71. One of those wheels you either love it or hate it.

Edit, had to work for a second, The Rockstar was my number 1 choice, the skull was number 2.
