Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
I thought that I'd post some pix, but I'm trying to sell it now. So she will be gone some time soon.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Your welcome.
I was actually gonna post a thread asking if anyone had done this combination with the grill and head lights to see how it looks, and before I get a chance too a picture surfaces! Now I wonder how it would look with a GM grille? hmmmmm..... This is why I love this site, its an awesome place to find inspiration. |

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
I put a set of small sealed beams from an 88 on my 97 GMC. A bolt in 20 minute deal.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
Here are a couple of mine. Popped the grille out, unbolted the complete headlamp assemblies and switched them out for the 88 units. The only wiring mod was to one male pin on each side. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to twist it so it plugged right in. No cutting necessary at all.
Once you take the grille assembly off you will see how the headlamp area is cut out already to fit around the sealed beams too. No more dull dim plastic headlamp lenses to worry with trying to polish up again.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
I like that 88, 88. How's the ride with those 2500 springs. Thinking about a lift in the future and found a 2500 Burb as a doner (axle's).

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
A shot of my 89 K1500 shorty after installing my junkyard found, Hellcat Centerlines, and a couple of before shots. Also found some interior stuff. Has new brakes, windshield, and KYB rear shocks. Bumpers are replaced now w/ used units I found on CL. A work in progress.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
'Bout a 3" body lift, tires are 33x12.5-15's on 15x10 wheels. Oh yeah, new power steering pump too.

Re: How about some pics of 88-98 Trucks
The 88 I just picked up. Tons of miles but runs like a top and pretty clean too! Need suggestions on how to flatten it out a little without losing too much ride quality.
