To post a pic just click on the Advance post then scoll to the Manage Attachments a box will pop up and look where it says Browse... Once you click on the pic and it goes into the box click on Upload then close the box and click on post... It is really pretty simple...

I picked up 40 pieces from powdercoat earlier this week, I thought I'd share a picture of one.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I was able to cut out my new floor for the trans/Transfer case hump (That old looking piece it the original floor I laid over the cut-out in order to drill the holes)

And also was working on the frame. Hoping to finish cleaning it tomorrow then get it primed and painted and then maybe, just maybe I can drop in the powertrain and get this show on the road! (I sometimes feel like I take two steps forward and three back!)

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

We put about 100mi. on the '71 GMC yesterday. My wife & I drove up to Daytona and bought a used 20' cargo trailer that's going to be a toy hauler/camper. We'll pick it up Monday. Then she wanted to go to Jo-Ann Fabrics across from the speedway. I went in Big Lots next door & bought some brake cleaner & stuff to munch on. I messed around as long as I could. Went back out to the truck and it was too hot to sit in it so I fired it up & turned the A/C on high. Sat there with it goin' BLOP-BLOP-BLOP for nearly an hour and the temperature gauge never got to half way.. nice n' cold inside too. Alum. radiator, shroud and 6 blade clutch fan work GOOD. Funny, while I sat there women kept parking and going into the fabric store... at different times 4 of 'em walked over and struck up a conversation about the old truck.... all of 'em between 40 & 80. The truck's an OLD CHICK MAGNET. I'm old & fat, if I was young & lean again .. it'd probably still be an OLD chick magnet.

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I opened up the garage door and turned all the fans on because it was still stank in there from priming and painting the frame over the last couple days (KBS Coatings rust seal & black top for the curious).

(Ignore the power strip plugged into the power strip plugged into the power strip, it was purely temporary while we moved things around...)

Re: What did you do to your truck today? Chapter II

I attempted to properly assemble my bed today only to find out the Head Panel is improperly made... there is 5/16" difference in the height of it from the 19 3/4" on the right side (correct Measurement) to 20 1/16" on the left side which does not allow the Bedside to sit gown properly on the floor... I will call the supplier tomorrow and see about getting a replacement...
