Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Been a good week, drove the truck several times (nice and easy). Got all of the lights and indicators on the Dakota Dash working, blinkers, hazard, high beam indicator also shows check engine light.

Ididit steering column plug plugged right into the wiring harness plug (GO FIGURE)!

Need to finish door switches for dome light, radio, wipers, A/C wiring and charging.

Thanks a million, had an electrical bug or two so far but eventually sniffed them out. Hope to get the exhaust on soon so I can hear if anything else needs attention.

They have been great and very understanding with the amount of time I spend in the shop. I'm ready to stop building and start driving and tinkering

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Thanks, a lot of work went into both. Well got the dome light working, horn installed, she has A/C for those summer days.

Will work on backup lights tomorrow then clean up some of the wiring. Need to start thinking about amps and speakers. Will get with exhaust guys next week then off to the tuners at Scoggin Dickey!

This time is fun and I just can't wait to be done!!!!!

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Thanks Chiz!

Wipers are now working, started installing the remaining exterior trim. I got the exterior trim from LMC if I remember correctly and I must say it has been a disappointment. Very cheap, bed pieces are too short and bed and door pieces are different widths.

It looks good from a distance but up close not so much, or maybe I'm being too picky

What do you mean by different widths? Thickness of metal?

No the actual vertical profile, esp the small pieces just behind the door.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

My guess is it's the same trim that everyone sales, but that's just a guess.

The bed pieces being too short really bug me since the inside is a different color, if I didn't do the carbon fiber it would look more correct. But again I think I'm being picky at this point!

Taking her to the muffler shop Thursday and to the Tuners Monday

Any suggestions on Exhaust? Don't want a drone while driving down the highway but want folks to notice when she's pulling G's.

Currently going thru Magna Flows website!

Sucks about the trim pieces. From my understanding, Mar-K is the go-to for stuff like that.
