Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd

running out of stuff to do. the parts wife ordered for me (shipped dec 3) have still not arrived. have never ever had a order take more than a couple weeks, 3 at most. last tracking update was dec 9, saying in transit...hmmmm....not looking that great...especially as how i got the int parts for the '60 crew last mon, and they were mailed on dec 29, from the same place...new york
they look much better than the '65 revell parts i was trying to shove in there

Man, it sure takes a long time to get your deliveries. But what you have done is looking great. I like the canopy too.

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd

thanks Dale, but i'm really starting to get frustrated with my caster. Has been 53 days now, and all tracking stopped on dec 8. i think it's pretty obvious it has been "misplaced" or lost, but my caster does not seem to give a s**t. I have sent him a few emails asking him to start a lost package procedure with USPS, as there is nothing i can do, i did not send it. So far he has not replied to any of my emails nor started a lost claim....hmmmm.....helluva way to treat one of your oldest and best customers, i have prob bought more from him than any other individual.
last email i sent was last friday, wife says if he won't answer by this friday (tomorrow) , go to paypal and get my money back....been trying to avoid that, he does have alot of what i use..... bummer
keepin on running out of things to do, already got 2 trucks on the go, dont really want to start a third...
some int work

don't know if anyone has heard, but Hobbico, the company that owns Revell, filed for chapter 11, bankruptcy. everyone is waiting to see how this will play out with Revell, apparentley Hobbico has to Mar to figure out whatever they are going to do. hope it does not mean the end of Revell.
But just in case, i scored another sub off fleabay for the incredible price (for up here anyways..) of 26 clams. this one will have the seats and winda's in it though. just hope my frikkin caster gets his stuff together....stock builds are boring....

That sucks about your parts and the caster. The interior looks great and so does the engine. The visors nice too. This Burb will be cool

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd

well i'm glad i waited one more day.....got a courier delivery today. would have looked dumb getting my money back and parts showing up the next day. only got part of the order, but enough to get going again. some kind of communication or reply would have been nice...
weather was pretty lousy today, spent a few hrs on the front. should be able to get the rear tomorrow

Re: '64 chevy 2wd to 4wd

wow! been almost 7 months...
thanks for the comments dale!
sadly my crew ain't getting paint this yr...i was sooooo close. had almost 11 g's saved for it, but went and blew almost 9k of it for a new quad for my son last apr....so as a consolation prize, took the rest of the money and decided to do some mechanical to the crew...as it has a 10" lift, i finally after all these yrs with the push-pull steering, had my steering wheel cranked hard over in some ruts off road and the truck was still goin' strait
just finishing up a cross-over steering on it and added some custom longer fr springs to it with bigger, beefier shackles.
so hopefully 2019 is the yr for paint...
then the dishwasher took a dump last month, another 600....yeah, hoping 2019

i think i kinda burned out on models for awhile....
took a break from trucks and just kinda threw this extra old '57 together in a couple days. not a truck, but it's a chebby...
