Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Picked this '70 up a year ago. Saved it from rotting away in a field. Doing a full rebuild for a mild trail truck/camping rig.

Is that a 4 inch lift with 33s?

No. When purchased it had an add a leaf in the front and a two inch block in the back with period incorrect rallies and the little tires shown. It rode ok but it had a lot of rear spring wrap in the sand from the blocks and old springs. I've since replaced that with 2" tuff country springs all the way around. For some reason the rear is about an inch low which bugs me a little bit. I pulled the tires (31's) and rims off of a military M1009 and put '73 caps on it. I will probably test fit some 32's or 33's but having a hard time finding a tread pattern that isn't too modern. I like the look of the old Goodyear wranglers on it.

Well I will throw my junker into the mix. 1972 CST patina highlander. That's in progress. But I like patina.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

It was hiding a lot of Bad body work, but not a lot of Rust. Torsion - Rocker Boxes good, Rocker panels not rusted, but dented up. And a nasty spot on the drivers side rear quarter (dent). Oh and Supposedly 69k original miles. It has a good story, unfortunately the only one who could tell the mileage passed away. But looking at everything and how good of condition a lot of it is in, I can believe it.

Re: How Many 4 Wheel Drive Blazers Do We Have?

Nice blazer k1k5blazer72. But the transfer case is a 205? Or did you pull the 208 with the donor drivetrain? There was no 206.
