Re: 67 long box
I was looking at buying a set of filler panels but they don't clean my vintage air dryer. It's a sure fit kit, so all pre bent tubing and mounting hardware. I'm not sure if there's a different filler panel to clear but I can make it. Any vintage air guys ? Cutting a hole to clear is defeating the purpose.

Re: 67 long box
Thanks man but the first one is the easy one, now to make a mirror image. That's where art work comes in when bent by hand and hammer.

Very nice! I actually like the added bend you did to accommodate the a.c. stuff. Looks awesome, great work as usual!

Re: 67 long box
Do you have any plans for painting the filler panels?

Re: 67 long box
I looked at either black or blue, but I'm not sure if I go black the engine shows up more. If I go blue it will match the firewall but will draw the attention away from the engine.

Re: 67 long box
Tough call.... I think if it were my truck I'd go with black. I think the engine will be the focal point either way. One of the reasons I say black is because the small original blue part between the grille and new filler panels would be a slightly different blue than the firewall blue, so I'd say a definite contrast (black) would look sharper.

Re: 67 long box
With only one bulb in it makes a big difference. They make a dimmer for these now so I can lower the light. Maybe.

Re: 67 long box
Well it fits back on with a couple of mods and it all works. I'm too cheap sometimes. The LED bulb change looks great.

Re: 67 long box
Metaldoc.... is the tach getting power from the red wire going to the fuel tank instrument gauge? Or what is that red wire used for on the back of the fuel tank gauge?

Re: 67 long box
I'm hoping this will work I tested power to there but not sure if it will interfere, but I'm thinking it needs a better source.
