Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
In the last two weeks, finished putting the soft top on, mounted the back seat and belts, put a new carb on, fired up the new engine for the first time, and installed an aftermarket USA am/fm and kick panel speakers in the kick panels. The windshield has been in and out twice so far. The stainless trim just hasn't laid in the gasket as good as I want it. Bought what was supposed to be the best gasket and stainless 69-70 trim. NG so far.

Friday afternoon and Saturday I spent putting the front carpet in, door sill plates, and seats. Windshield put back in on Thursday.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
New body bushings/bolts, bumper guards, and tilt column and steering wheel.
Not sure about the new wheel, but I do like the smaller size, compared to stock. Sticks out like wooden nickel in the ol'Blazer, I'll give it a while. Last edited by dirish; 03-27-2019 at 05:51 PM. Reason: Pictures |

I'll stop at four questions. Thank you. I just finished the following projects: Brake lines, fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator and gauge, valve covers, plug wires, Stans headers... and some other things I can't remember.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
My buddy did body mounts, they were from Wes, and top of the line. Bolts were rusted but was about a 6 hr. Job, with lots of breaks. Steering column was a piece of cake, again from Les on the board, amazing work!

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
I checked my steering wheels today - happy to report no cracks despite low temps reaching into the -30s this winter. Next season I’ll bring the steer wheels in the house.

Did spark plugs and oil change. Found out heater core died over the winter.

Re: What did you do to your Blazer/Jimmy today?
Bummer! I’ve had to deal with little leaks because the tower clamps aren’t that good and noticed a few drips under the k20 - I’m hoping the heater core didn’t burst when temps dipped below minus 30. The coolant in the radiator wasn’t frozen so I’m hopeful. Heater core replacement is such a pita.
