Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Wicked project man. Wound up reading this from start to finish after finding it on here. Even posted the link to another forum in a topic for someone that wants to do the same basic thing CCLB to CCSB.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Hey Scott, being that you turned an 8-lug front-end to a 5-lug, what would it take to turn a 6-lug front-end to an 8-lug? Just swapping hub assemblies? I've got my eye on a 14-bolt 8-lug rear end for an '88-'98 that a friend of my dad's has, and we're thinking about putting that under the back of the '88. So do you know what all is involved in turning a 6-lug 4x4 front end into an 8-lug 4x4 front end?

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Im not too sure on a 4x4 setup.. on a 2wd it was just lower control arms, rotors etc. Upper control arms will work just need to change the ball joints.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
I'll have to figure it out. I don't know if you looked at my '88 thread lately and saw the last post, but we're gonna build us a custom truck. And we're gonna put a 14-bolt 8-lug rear end in it, so might as well put an 8-lug front suspension as well.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Might just be the case of getting some ball joints for a 1ton and new lower arms, spindles rotors, a friend of mine has a 1ton but not sure if its a 4x4 or not but ill find out and grab some pics if it is.

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Hey "scotts66" any updates? Just read the whole thread, awesome work. I want to see more. I have a similar crew cab, but its a short box 2wd already it just needs a 8 lug to 5 lug conversion and a 4/6 djm drop.
Thanks Rob |

Re: My 93 Crewcab Build
Actually i ordered all the parts (if i didnt forget any) to put this thing back together, i had to get a new torque converter because the trans im using went down and had to get it rebuilt and didnt want to use the old converter. so im hoping sunday i can get a chance to work on it.
