Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I lightheartedly disagree. Yeah, its a build thread but I think of some of you guys as though you lived down the block from me and were building your truck. I'd stop by to see what you were doing and to tease you a little if nothing was getting done. Now, if we ended up just sitting on an old sofa in your garage and drinking beer night after night (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and nothing EVER got done on the trucks...well THEN I'd say we have a problem.

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
I say we all grab a beer and get to work on these old trucks, and see what we come up with! Or we can all just sit around and talk about working on our trucks and get nothing done. Oh wait that is what we are doing, just not all in one room per say. Can some one pass the chips! lol

Yes we do, in fact we have a car show or cruise night almost everyday of the week. Check out the calendar at this link. http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
After looking at the pix of your bed.. are you installing wood? and if you are... are you installing it under the angle strips you have welded on, or laying it on top?

Impressive body of work you've done here. Don't sell it! or if you do, finish it first. Took me a couple of nights to get through this thread, I want to see it finished now!
Awsome work. |

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
You can never have enough good fenders. I had a messed up fender laying around and a new repoped fender that someone gave me. The repop fender fitment was horrible so I decided to use it as a patch panel. I have a passenger fender that I already primed but when I checked the fitment I like the mess up fender a little better. So I decided to fix the fender and use which ever one I like the best when I put the truck back together. Or I just used it as an excuse to weld something together.lol

Re: Kabwe's aka Bam's build
Used a brand new fender to patch an old one! Thats so frigging awsome! I don't think I would have a pair to do that. But if I had your talent, I guess it would be a no brainer.

This is what is left of a new fender that I used for patch panels because the fitment was so bad. I used the rear for another fender for a buddy. It still has some use so I will not throw it out. It still has a good brace, eyebrow, and front and top panel. Somebody may need a piece of it so I will keep it. I know too many hotrodders to throw it out. I don't know about the other new fenders, but the fitment for this one was garbage. Last edited by Kabwe; 12-22-2011 at 09:08 PM. |
