Re: Owen's C10
Like the valve covers- good choice! If you could do it over, would you have modified the firewall?

I like the look too. Great work. Where did the valve covers come from?

Re: Owen's C10
Where did you get the AN style coolant crossover fittings? The ones on that attach to the block

Re: Owen's C10
Love those valve covers Good to see you could modify your motor mounts a little instead of modifying that beautiful firewall. That would have sucked. I like the way the Trickflow coolant crossover lines look, think I'll have to get those for mine.

Looks great Moose. Used the Trickflow kit on my motor from Summit too. Price was right and looks really nice.

Re: Owen's C10
I bought the Trickflow kit that does both front and rear lines, it was another $30 or so but it gives you more braided hose and more fittings...I have enough left for another motor... yeah there was no way in the world I was touching that firewall, I have way too many hours in that, the motor mount trick only took about an hour of my time, and also helped with the steering shaft clearing the #1 header tube... I love the valve covers too, thanks for helping me deside..

Re: Owen's C10
Thanks Moose and ya it's the midrise. Had the highrise but wouldn't clear the stock hood and I didn't want a cowl.

Re: Owen's C10
I drilled and tapped the valve covers so I could use -4 AN fittings instead of the slip on fitting and rubber hose. got the injectors in and fuel rails bolted down....

Re: Owen's C10
I like it! I read on IG you had to modify some stuff since it didn't work with your truck motor. What exactly did you have to change?

Re: Owen's C10
whenever I've swapped to an aftermarket intake the truck injectors never work because they're taller, and the plastic cups on the tips won't let the injector sit fully in the bosses so you gotta remove the caps, and then the stands that hold the fuel rails on are too tall so I had to shorten them and drill new holes...now you could spend $500- 600 and buy new car injectors and do it that way, but I don't know why the aftermarket can't make stuff more "truck friendly"?
