Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Heres some more pikkys of our truck when we first got it. The plain black panted Jag rims are gone, as is the crooked bumper. And the Jag rear has been remounted and the 6 has been replaced with a 350/700R4 combo.

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
I was on here a lot 9 or so years ago but forgot my user name and had to re-register... I have a '69 K10 GMC in 90% original condition. Bought a lot of parts from Teeitup back then and made a few runs to Kansas... I may drive it to the All GM show/swap at the Fairgrounds June 10th. I will be getting a carb kit and complete ignition tune up parts from NAPA this afternoon and plan to drive it to No. St. Paul this Friday evening... I'm also in the Northstar Camaro Club and we have an All Chevy Show at Stillwater Motors on June 30th. Everyone in the area is welcome to bring their Chevy trucks out for the day. I may have this far enough along to bring my '67 Camaro on the bed...

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Hot Rod Tod, I am about to buy wheels and tires. Thought I had my mind made up and was getting a painted look, then I saw your chrome wheels. Can you tell me where they are from? The size? Are they reverse mount? And what size are the tires and who are they by? Also what did you do to your truck? Lowered?
LOVE!! your truck! |

Incase the info is still needed Rudoo: The rims are US Wheels from Summit Racing 15*8s on the rear and 15*6 on the front. The standard elcheapo rim that you can get almost anywhere. Tires are also from the US. They are Goodyear 235/75R/15s on the back and 205/65R/15s on the front. I would have preferred BFG Silverstones? as they priced about the same but they werent in stock & the container was leaving for New Zealand a few days later Front & rear suspension & steering is stock Jaguar XJ6 sedan. Nothing was cut out of the chassis or the suspension. The rear is still in the Jaguar cage. |

Re: How about some pics of 47-59
Just bought this in October. I just got tags and insurance on it and started toying with it the past 2 weeks. Its a 3200 long long bed with the inline 6. Pics and video are from right before I ran to bank to get cash. Paid 3 grand, did I do ok? The phone camera made the paint look way better than it is and the rust on the floorboards is actually just dirt. Old owner says his father restored it in the 80's but he was not a body man. Had my paint guy take a look and he said there's no filler, but the patch jobs needs to be sanded or redone. The transmission in the bed is the original. They replaced it with a 3 speed. The seats are from a Lincoln.
First image is the video, just click on it to watch. I have already put the original gauges back in just to find out the speedometer cable will not attach. I wanted to convert it to a shortbed, but friends are saying they never see a long bed so I should leave it alone. I think I may, cause it fits my ATV and a toolbox and I can still close the gate! This will be a daily driver with a 2006 Vortec 6.0 with 7k miles on it. Last edited by andyd00; 06-05-2012 at 02:54 PM. |
