Aside from the badges, if that paint scheme is factory, it's a bit unusual.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Its 305/400, three speed, Fender emblem and hood badge are unique, and I am 99% positive the paint scheme is original. It may have been an optional 2 tone for the model. But it is all original. Up here in canada theres a hand full I have seen with same same paint sceme, in different colours, and one exactly the same colour, but really rusty.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

The was a number of unique items on the Wrangler depending on what trim level you got/ordered.

Yes, that is the factory paint scheme.

The top of the line models had factory leather wraped steering wheels, as well as some other cool collector items ONLY seen factory from GM on the Wranglers.

HELLO FROM EDMONTON, ALBERTA!!!! LOL

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Hey 87GMCChris, we have twins! Mine as well is an '87 GMC black and grey wrangler. I have owned three of these over the years, all black and grey. My current is the nicest tho. Mine has a new 350, new tranny with OD, fully loaded with alarm, remote start and stereo. I also added a sport bumper and tailgate band to mine. I installed a phantom grille, lowered it and added wheels. I love this truck but sadly i have to get rid of it tho.

Yours looks like it is in very good shape. Do you have any other plans for it?

We do have twins... Thats cool, never seen one exactly the same colour and everything.
Plans: I plan on getting the sport bumper from LMC along with braces and such. A tailgate band.... if i can ever find one(searching for weeks/help?). Duals already done, In the future i may lower it, although i like the stance. Closer to when i pay off my new truck i will get some sort of rims. You can't really see, but i have a couple spots of bubble rust, i will have to take care of thoses soon... either end of this year or the beging of next year. Engine runs perfectly, but in the future there will be an engine rebuild/freshen up. Not that i am in a hurry for that. Also considered a retro-fit 327 i have laying around, but... i don't know how well it will work with TBI.

And hello to all my fellow canadian users(And everyone else too ), i guess you can all feel the pain of canadian winters. Sucks not driving my baby for 6 months.

I like the color schemes on those wranglers. Slammed '87 I really like those wheels you had on in the first pic and it looks like the newer blue GMC has them on too.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's my '81 Custom Deluxe 3/4 ton. Picked it up for $1800. Had to have the AC system rebuilt, new exhaust system and a few other things fixed. Next, plan on replacing the mirrors and front bumper with chrome, and then starting on the interior.

Has a newly rebuilt 350 engine and Turbo 400 tranny.

Body is pretty straight, but does have a couple little rust spots I'm going to have to repair.

Planning on going with smaller tires too, so it doesn't look so "stuffed".

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?

Here's mine, and a photochop of it. 1979 Silverado c10 305, 3 spd, 12 bolt. No PS, but has AC. You know it's a Texas truck.
Cheers!
