Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Nah,,thats one reason I started this thread because if u look around my shop in the pics there's not a lot of complicated tools...Just good ole hard work, sweat, common sense,"some" good tools and yes it does take some cash....but that's what I think is great is that there are tons of parts out there to make whatever u want where 20-30 yrs ago we were junkyarding everything..me included....that accuair looks intimidating but it is really plug and play....more later......jim

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Amazing work. Hope my truck turns out half as nice as yours. I've really enjoyed reading your thread, thanks for taking the time to share.
You thought about an isolator for your twin battery setup? Batteries sitting in parallel constantly tend to fight, and weaken more quickly (battery with the lower equalized voltage will pull from the higher even if it's a fraction of a volt difference between the two). Just a thought from my younger days messing around with car audio. Peace, Ben. |

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Actually it looks silver but it's got more of a dark stainless look in person...she took the finest metallic silver toner and added black...add even more black and would become like gunmetal....Over all I like it....wont see much of it..but I like it...did I already say that???..........lol............jim.........more this wkend
