They look good. Great progress on the truck. Did you swap the bags in front to get to 10"lift. I see the backs are 9100 now.

They are just the front bags that Porterbuilt sent me, I don't even know which ones they are ! LOL. The 9100's in the back make all the difference in the world when it comes to lift !

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

you know...... if youre selling those inner fenders a lot it might be worth it to see if they can be made out of abs plastic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQQm9mQ8CLo
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Dqm-Z7QAY

prolly best to find someone to do it for you
the innitial purchase of the machine is pretty steep and the power consumption prolly too with those heating elements
the plastic you could use is the same stuff they use to make bumpers wish is pretty mush shatterproof and can be bent intoo a pretsel and jump back intoo form
works fast and gives a clean surface and doesnt smell up the neighbourhood with fiberglass resin either

the mould prolly need to be pretty solid and heatresistant

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

On the rear of the tubz, where they're skirted, how much clearance is there between the tubz and the firewall? do they run flush together or is there some room? I'm asking because I'm wanting to modify the firewall at the bottom to gain more footroom for the pedals I want to run

they are tight right at the bend but you have some room from there down, the nice thing about glass is that they are easy to modify (you could remove the skirt completely if it is in the way)

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

When are you going to begin taking orders for the tubz and the filler panels and do you have an idea of the introductory price yet on each?

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

you done some realy good fabrication and you made some nice choices on the wheels

i never liked the way the headlights sit in the nose on this model truck though
if i was the designer i prolly wouldve placed them higher like in the hood of the truck with the indicator lights under them in the grille
would make the griller narrower too basicly plate where the headlights sit close

think they changed it this way because my way would make it look a lot more like the 57 truck

I can afford to modify the expensive stuff like , grills and bumpers because of the insane expensive of the plating process . That being said I try to make everything look as custom as possible and still use all the factory partsl

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

think the plating is as expensive because the companies doing it need to pay big premiums on the chemical disposal more than the plating itself
you might be better of in mexico

Re: Slosh Tubz SEMA 2015 Build "BOOSTED BERTHA"

I decided it was getting a little cramped in the engine compartment so I raised and widened the core support opening so I could suck that huge Flex-a-Lite radiator in real nice and tight ! It wont be left all boxy looking she will get some sexy curves before I am done !

I'll start saving for the tubz now.
How much are you going to sell the filler panels for?
